三河木綿は古いシャトル織機でゆっくりと織られ、厚く膨らみのある生地は耐久性、保湿性、吸湿性に富みます。洗いをかけた生地の表面は波打つような手触りで、肌に布が張り付かずさらりとして軽やかです。洗濯時にはネットを使い、乾燥機は避けて陰干ししてください。
rofmia
岐阜県美濃加茂市・中山道太田宿にロフミアはあります。1931年に建てられた元呉服屋をそのままに改修しました。ロフミアは縫製工場とショップが併設されています。ここではデザイン、パターン、縫製、販売まで一貫して行なっています。目の前を流れる木曽川や、豊かな自然、歴史ある古く静かな街並みから多くを学びながら製作をしています。ここにしかない場所で、ここにしかないものを、直に伝えていくことを目指しています。
「Nora」はかつて日本の農林漁村の人々の仕事と暮らしを支えた野良着をもとに作られています。生地は私たちの故郷である三河木綿を使い、岐阜県美濃市産の美濃和紙を横糸に使いました。空気を含みながら織られた生地は不規則で立体的な手触りになり、深みのある柄が浮かび上がります。木々の間を吹き抜ける風、野原に生い茂る草木に想いを馳せながら、先人の知恵と美意識を現代の暮らしの中で感じていただければと願っています。
rofmia
“rofmia” located in Minokamo City, Gifu Prefecture. We run our shop in an 1931 draper building, renovated to it’s former state, where we design, create patterns, sew and sell. Aiming to make honest products surrounded by a rich natural environment and historical townscape. The Kiso river which flows in front of our shop, ever changing and inspiring to us. We believe that rofmia's purpose is to directly convey products that are the only possible in no other place.
Nora" is based on the stray clothes that once supported the work and lifestyle of people in Japan's farming, forestry, and fishing villages. The fabric is made of Mikawa cotton, which is our hometown, and Mino Washi from Mino City, Gifu Prefecture, is used for the weft. The airy weave gives the fabric an irregular, three-dimensional feel, and deep patterns emerge. We hope you will feel the wisdom and aesthetics of our ancestors in your modern life, thinking of the wind blowing through the trees and the lush vegetation in the fields.
