安藤里実 / Satomi Amdo
1987年生まれ。現在は愛知県瀬戸市で活動。
有機的な形の作品は、彼女が日頃から感じているガラスを通して見る世界を表現しています。
以下は安藤さんのガラスに対する考えです。
無垢なガラスは私たちと似ている。
ガラスは確かに存在するようでしないよう。
私たちは自分のかたちさえも正確に知ることはできません。
鏡や写真、人からの情報の構築で自分という人間を作り出しています。
そんな私たちが日々当たり前だと思っている世界は、本当は矛盾的で曖昧なものだと考えています。ガラスは、本来の個々がつくりだしている世界の不思議さに気づかせるきっかけを与えてくれます。私はそのようなガラスという素材を通して、無意識的な感覚に潜む世界の美しさを、自分の作品により気づいて欲しいと思っています。
Satomi Ando
Born in 1987. She currently lives and works in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture.
The organic shapes of her works express the world as she sees it through glass, which she feels on a daily basis.
The following are Ando's thoughts on glass.
Solid glass is similar to us.
It is as if glass does not exist.
We can't even know our own shape accurately.
We create who we are by constructing information from mirrors, photographs, and other people.
I believe that the world that we take for granted every day is really a contradictory and ambiguous one. Glass gives us the opportunity to realize the wonder of the world that is created by each individual. Through the material of glass, I hope that my work will make people aware of the beauty of the world hidden in their unconscious senses.
